Oporto or Porto is the second largest city in Portugal after Lisbon, and also one of the country?s most important cities for both culture and trade. The actual port area is a hub of tourist activity, with many bars and restaurants located by the waterfront. The city is also located close to the famous wine region, the Douro Valley.
