Downloading our Hertz 24/7.ie App from the Apple or Google Play store is the simplest method to sign up. You then complete the form, upload a photo of your driving license, passport/ ID and a selfie. Once we have completed the verification process and we have verified that you are protected by our insurance, you can get on the road with Hertz24/7.
Verification can take up to 48 working hours, but it may take longer over weekends.
To become a member of Hertz 24/7.ie you must be over 23 years old and under 75 years old. Members must have a minimum of 1 year driving experience ( full driving license). Most foreign licenses are accepted; nevertheless, a few restrictions do exist because of insurance requirements. Contact contact@hertz247.ie if you are in any doubt.
You can use the Hertz 24/7 app to make a reservation once your profile has been validated. The locations that are available will appear on the app once you choose the desired day, time, and vehicle model. A reservation can be made on the go or weeks in advance.
To find the closest vehicle to you and to discover if it is available, book a car for your desired location on the app. We will be adding more locations as we grow to provide all of Dublin with Hertz 24/7 vehicles.
Make sure to arrive at the correct vehicle and the correct reservation time. Our app can direct you right to the car's position. You can access the vehicle using the app at any moment after the booking's reserved start time.
All Hertz 24/7 cars have Bluetooth technology and keyless entry. Please check that your phone's Location Services and Bluetooth are both turned on. Please select "start journey" on the app at the beginning of your reservation. Throughout the course of your journey, you can access the vehicle using the lock and unlock symbol that will be displayed on the screen of your phone.
The vehicle pre and post inspection is a mandatory step, and damage must be recorded in the inspection photos.
A rental can be extended on the app before the original return time has passed.
During your reservation you are responsible for parking the vehicle legally and safely, as you would your own. Any parking fee or fines are your responsibility.
The vehicle must always be parked in a safe and legal location. Any fixed charge offence (FCO) obtained as a result of illegal parking will be the responsibility of the member.
Return the vehicle back to the street where you rented it from. If there is no parking on street, please leave the vehicle within a 5-minute walk of the pick of location. Please do not leave your vehicle more than a 5 min walk from its pickup location.
If you return early, you will still be charged for the full reserved period as the vehicle is unavailable to other customers during this reserved time.
Please return the vehicle on time to avoid a late fee.
Please click “End Journey” on the app to avoid a late fee a €50 late fee.
You can cancel your reservation for FREE up to three hours prior to the reservation start time. If you inform us of your cancellation within three hours of your reservation, we will charge you €30. If you do not cancel prior to your pickup time, you will be charged for the entire reserved time.
No - simply pay for time used and distance travelled. All expenses including insurance, tax and fuel are included.
With Hertz 24/7 membership you have fully comprehensive insurance with a €1500- €3000 excess depending on the vehicle. This means that if you damage a Hertz 24/7 vehicle during your trip you are liable for the first €1500-€3000 worth of damage ( vehicle dependent).
Hertz 24/7 accept all major Credit and Debit cards, (MasterCard, Visa etc..) a prepaid card will not be accepted.
The first 50km of your journey are included free of charge, and any additional kilometres after that are charged at a rate of €0.25 per km. You are charged by the hour depending on the kind of car (beginning at €9 an hour for our compact vehicles). On our Rates tab, you will find a list of all our rates and available vehicles.
No, additional drivers are free of charge provided they have been authorised by Hertz 24/7 and are a verified member of Hertz 24/7 Ireland.
Please remember you will not need to pay the M50 Toll directly after passage. All M50 Toll charges will be billed by Hertz 24/7 directly to your credit card we have on file. All other toll charges should be paid by you as you pass through the barriers. Speeding or traffic fines are the responsibility of the Hertz 24/7 driver. Hertz 24/7 will forward on any fines received to the member directly – administrative fees will apply.
(Fuel) Hertz 24/7 use Circle K as their preferred garage should you need to refuel. A fuel card can be found in the glovebox or sun visor on the driver's side of the vehicle. The pin for this can be seen on the app in the driving tab. Only Circle K garages will accept the provided fuel card. Remember to disclose the vehicle reg and mileage each time you fuel up.
(Charging) Hertz 24/7 use EasyGo as their preferred charger should you need to recharge. A charge card can be found in the glovebox or sun visor on the driver's side of the vehicle.
For the convenience of the following member, we ask that you return the vehicle with at least ¼ tank of fuel / charge. If you leave the vehicle with less than a ¼ of fuel, a refuelling/ recharging service charge will apply.
