Sitting between major routes such as the M4, M40 and M25 motorways, Slough is one of the best-connected towns in the entire UK.

The M25, or otherwise known at the London Orbital Mortorway, is more than 160km long and encircles almost all of greater London. The M4 runs east towards London, or you can take this road west to visit the exciting city of Bristol.

Speed limits are displayed in miles per hour, and within towns and built-up areas are typically 30mph (48km/h) , though some areas may operate lower maximums of 20mph (32mph) especially around schools or residential zones.

If you are planning on travelling further afield to neighbouring cities, you’ll likely be driving down dual carriageways and motorways. When using these roads, the maximum speed limit is generally 70mph, but keep an eye on signs as these can vary.
